82 days in, less than 300 more to go! I made a single resolution this year. One that sort of spontaneously proclaimed itself to me and I ran with it. The resolution was to be happy! Literally my mantra is positive vibes only! Actually, having just typed “the mantra” I remember when it happened. It was from an IG post which I captioned “positive vibes only” that I had the revelation to live by those words. Thus, it was officially declared that happiness will become my single goal for the new year! Not that I was a depressed or sad person constantly. It was just that I had/have the tendency to let things get to me. Or worry too much and over analyse things. So in the spirit of my happiness resolution I decided to abolish these bad habits. Which to my delight has been fantastic.
It is fascinating what the mind can achieve. And yes you can change your life simply by changing your mindset. The truth is everybody has something to be sad or even depressed about. However, they only bring us down when we decide to focus on them. Therefore, why focus on the bad? Scientifically or spiritually, whether it is energy or hormones; it is proven that you have more strength and energy when you are happy. In that case, why not take advantage of the free energy levels to better the sad/bad side on life? The key is simply not to beat yourself up about things you can’t fix. Ok! I’m done being corny.
