Large or small, we all have our stash of makeup products. But most importantly, we all have a select few from the stash we trust to work magic all the time. Here are a few products from my stash that I confidently reach for.
WHAT: INGLOT EYESHADOWS
Why: The eyeshadows from Inglot are arguably the most reliable. Their pigmentation never disappoints, they only over deliver. Due to their colour pay off. I find that in my stash of makeup products they are the only ones I can use for a mono eyeshadow look. Just because it gives dimension to the eyes, and changes with the light. You can most definitely use them for single eyeshadow looks to create smokey eyes or whatever. Moreover, they are very very easy to blend, despite being so pigmented. With these babies you’d look like you spent the whole day doing your eye makeup.
WHAT: M·A·C MINERALIZE SKINFINISH NATURAL
Why: This is an essential for me because as an oily skinned girl, some days are just too humid for any foundation. And most importantly I’m often late for work. Thus this is my go to item. All I need is a good primer then I layer this on about 2-3 time and voila! I look like I’ve just used full coverage liquid foundation and spent time to beat my face. Also, this is perfect to set a light to medium coverage foundation or BB cream.
WHAT: RIMMEL WAKE ME UP CONCEALER
Why: Like most products on this list, this concealer is multi-purpose and it’s something I always go back to. This is my favourite to use as an eyeshadow base, even more than my actual eyeshadow base. My eyeshadows are twice or thrice (in case of Inglot shadows) as pigmented, and lasts for 25 hours when I use this. I don’t use it as much for highlighting to be honest. But mostly because I prefer powder highlighters but it is also perfect for concealing and I love it.
WHAT: REAL TECHNIQUES MIRACLE COMPLEXION SPONGE
Why: There’s been a debate in the beauty community about this Real Techniques sponge vs the Beauty Blender Original. I think the debate shows evidence that this product is a great contender to the original. Since it is the only one compared to it and people have different preference for either one. I simply like this sponge because it has many features. Most people find that they need more than one beauty blender. i.e; a smaller one for the under eye or a flat one for contour and so on. But because the real techniques sponge comes with a tapered rounded top and a flat side, it covers your b-blender needs. Furthermore, the price is a lot more affordable, making it a winner for most people.
